B.F.F.

I have so many people that I call a friend, not an acquaintance:  a person whom one knows but who is not a particularly close friend.
I have met them through work, after all, when you work forty hours a week, they are the ones you spend all your time with. I also have others, not met at work.

How do you know when a friend is a friend?
Here is a quote I like: 'Everyone is a friend, until they prove otherwise.'--this is so true.

A friend is a friend when...

You can call on them for anything, and not feel like you owe them one, and same for them.

You love them for all their faults, no matter what.

You can not talk to them for a long period of time, then pick right back up where you left off.

You have some things in common, but not everything.

You can agree to disagree, and not think anything different of each other.

You don't judge each other.

They know everything about you and still like you.

Friends stand up for you, when no one else does.

Friends love you.

You never have to second guess what they will do or say.

~Thank you to all my friends for being my B.F.F.!! I love you!!~

We're Back!

So I wanted to try to start blogging again. I went to my blog and I can't figure out how to work it. It's different, and I couldn't make it cute. So have moved back to Blogger. Here we are. This is my favorite time of year to do fun Pinterest crafts, so watch out! I will try to feed the family and wash clothes, but for the most part, you can find me some where doing a DIY project. 'Til then-Bye!

Roller Coaster Ride

It's just that. We knew getting into this it would have ups and downs. Lots of waiting, and wondering. I was talking to a friend of ours that is adopting as well, and she said, 'Welcome to the roller coaster that is adoption'. She's right. I thought about a song I knew from when I was younger. (I still have the cassette...) It's called Roller Coaster Ride, but 4HIM. Life is a roller coaster. Music speaks so much to me!! As you go through highs and lows And all that's in between The Lord alone is in control Of this big scream machine We told our closest family and friends early on.  We wanted prayers, and support!  We got that right away from everyone!  My sister's, friend's Mom (complicated, I know.) knew of a baby that was born and the mother had already lots her birth rights. We thought we had a lead. A potential baby could be ours.   Yes, one week after we had made our first official step towards adoption.  I pretty much checked my phone...

Ready, Set, Home Study!

Home study is a term we have learned since being apart of the adoption world.  We applied to have ours on Monday and they called back yesterday and we set it up for next week.  We know it's a lot of paper work and that we will have to do finger prints, and background checks, but that is all we know for now. We are looking into some fundraisers as well.  I will keep you posted about those as soon as we decide.
