Ready, Set, Home Study!

Home study is a term we have learned since being apart of the adoption world.  We applied to have ours on Monday and they called back yesterday and we set it up for next week.  We know it's a lot of paper work and that we will have to do finger prints, and background checks, but that is all we know for now.

We are looking into some fundraisers as well.  I will keep you posted about those as soon as we decide.

Happy January!!

Well, we started our New Year with shrimp and steak kabobs @ The Melton's. Michael had to work that next morning, so he came and ate, then went home to bed! Party Pooper! Then that next Sunday he left us for a week. He had what is called POST, in Macon. It is a furthering education course. He gets to know more things and make more money!! Yay! So that was a long week without Daddy! We still had fun without him, thanks to the snow!!! We got almost an inch!!! You norther ners won't understand, but all my Florida people do! We played in it both Thursday and Friday! Caden had a blast! He just walked everywhere! And we slid down a hill, redneck stlye, on a cardboard box! Great fun! Well that is it so far for January! We are ready to see what God has in store for us this year! We don't have too much planned, except for @ the end of the month, I'm going to Demorest, GA, for a ladies retreat. This will be my first time leaving Caden for the night! I'm not thrilled about it,...

Let's Recap 2010

This will kind of give you an idea of how I think. When I reflect on 2010, of course all the really big, or most recent things come to mind- L got married, Christmas was wonderful, we had a blast at the beach, we moved, and so on. But to really sit down and look over 2010 I just run down month by month and look at all my pictures. I wish I had a way to count all the pictures I took-it would take days!! So here is a fun recap of THEPRICEPRESS 2010 January 7th was the first snow! February 12th it snowed again! March it snowed some more!! In March we went with some friends (with $1 seats) to Atlanta Motor Speedway and got to see one of the biggest accidents of the season right in front of us...Redneck I know! March 20th M's brother got married!! April we got to celebrate Jesus's Resurrection. And my 27th birthday. May we had lots of ups and downs-M started working nights, and it really was not a fun adjustment!! And he turned 27th, too! =) June we went to the beach for sev...

Meltdown!

Well it's been forever since I've posted something. We've been busy, and when we are not busy, we are resting. That's my excuse! =) Caden just turned 18 months on the 1st. At his 12 month check up they told us that the "terrible two" are beginning and to watch out! Terrible two? No, not my sweet Caden. He's too sweet and laid back for that. And besides, I thought they started when they were two, not on their way to two. OK, so within the last month or two, Caden has begun to have these "meltdowns". They can happen anytime, day or night. Sleepy, or well rested. At home or in public. With family, or with people at church! It's just when he doesn't get his way. (But mainly when he wants to be outside.) Today we went outside for just a few minutes to get some fresh air, and let him play. By the way he LOVES outside. So I keep him on the front porch so he can stay out of the sun, and so I don't have to chase him all over Dahlonega-because,...
