One Step Closer

2013

I don't even remember where I left off.  August I started back to work.  I am working at the school where the kids go.  I feel like I blinked and three months went by.  Adding another one to our everyday - makes us feel so much busier.  So with that being said that is why, again, I am behind on our updates!

10/26 I met with our caseworker this week, finally. Saturday she came to our house to do our final step of our Home Study.  She just had to legally say our home was safe for us to adopt.  

This week our attorney should be getting the parental surrender of rights from her mom.  That will give us the go ahead on getting everything legal so we can be her legal parents. 

Halloween and Caden's birthday are both coming up so we are gearing up for both of those.  I made the kids costumes this year.  They are going to be Peter Pan and Tinkerbell.  They are going to be so adorable! 

Caden wants so bad to have a 'camo' birthday party, so we are just going to do a cookout and roast marshmallows. As of today, the weather is supposed to be a high of 60 and lows in the THIRTIES! 
Really crazy seeing that last year the kids were wearing shorts at his party! Georgia.

Roller Coaster Ride

It's just that. We knew getting into this it would have ups and downs. Lots of waiting, and wondering. I was talking to a friend of ours that is adopting as well, and she said, 'Welcome to the roller coaster that is adoption'. She's right. I thought about a song I knew from when I was younger. Let's Recap 2010

This will kind of give you an idea of how I think. When I reflect on 2010, of course all the really big, or most recent things come to mind- L got married, Christmas was wonderful, we had a blast at the beach, we moved, and so on. But to really sit down and look over 2010 I just run down month by month and look at all my pictures. I wish I had a way to count all the pictures I took-it would take days!! So here is a fun recap of THEPRICEPRESS 2010 January 7th was the first snow! February 12th it snowed again! March it snowed some more!! In March we went with some friends (with $1 seats) to Atlanta Motor Speedway and got to see one of the biggest accidents of the season right in front of us...Redneck I know! March 20th M's brother got married!! April we got to celebrate Jesus's Resurrection. And my 27th birthday. Meltdown!

Well it's been forever since I've posted something. We've been busy, and when we are not busy, we are resting. That's my excuse! =) Caden just turned 18 months on the 1st. At his 12 month check up they told us that the "terrible two" are beginning and to watch out! Terrible two? No, not my sweet Caden. He's too sweet and laid back for that. And besides, I thought they started when they were two, not on their way to two. OK, so within the last month or two, Caden has begun to have these "meltdowns". They can happen anytime, day or night. Sleepy, or well rested. At home or in public. With family, or with people at church! It's just when he doesn't get his way. (But mainly when he wants to be outside.) Today we went outside for just a few minutes to get some fresh air, and let him play. By the way he LOVES outside. So I keep him on the front porch so he can stay out of the sun, and so I don't have to chase him all over Dahlonega-because,
