Ticky

If you are not aware, my husband is obsessed with fishing. He has passed this crazy trait, so soon might I add, to our son. C loves 'tickies'. This is what he calls fish, fishing poles, and fishing lures. He has a hat that says, Future Fisherman. And he loves it!
The other day his grandmother and I were at the store and she found some socks she wanted to buy him. We were having trouble finding his size. So I dug through them and found a few little ones. They had Nemo socks.
She gave them to him as soon as she got in the car. He wore them home, and to bed! He loved his ticky socks!

When we got home, I was unpacking our clothes and he found them. He wanted me to put them on him, so I did. Because these socks were such a hit, I had to get a picture of two of him in them. So I said, "C, let me take a picutre of you with your fishy socks on." And here is what he did!!!

He wanted me to take 'moa' (more), so he held up the other foot!

We're Back!

So I wanted to try to start blogging again. I went to my blog and I can't figure out how to work it. It's different, and I couldn't make it cute. So have moved back to Blogger. Here we are. This is my favorite time of year to do fun Pinterest crafts, so watch out! I will try to feed the family and wash clothes, but for the most part, you can find me some where doing a DIY project. 'Til then-Bye!

Roller Coaster Ride

It's just that. We knew getting into this it would have ups and downs. Lots of waiting, and wondering. I was talking to a friend of ours that is adopting as well, and she said, 'Welcome to the roller coaster that is adoption'. She's right. I thought about a song I knew from when I was younger. (I still have the cassette...) It's called Roller Coaster Ride, but 4HIM. Life is a roller coaster. Music speaks so much to me!! As you go through highs and lows And all that's in between The Lord alone is in control Of this big scream machine We told our closest family and friends early on.  We wanted prayers, and support!  We got that right away from everyone!  My sister's, friend's Mom (complicated, I know.) knew of a baby that was born and the mother had already lots her birth rights. We thought we had a lead. A potential baby could be ours.   Yes, one week after we had made our first official step towards adoption.  I pretty much checked my phone...

Ready, Set, Home Study!

Home study is a term we have learned since being apart of the adoption world.  We applied to have ours on Monday and they called back yesterday and we set it up for next week.  We know it's a lot of paper work and that we will have to do finger prints, and background checks, but that is all we know for now. We are looking into some fundraisers as well.  I will keep you posted about those as soon as we decide.
