And Here We Go!

Well, we have managed to keep C out of most things that would make a mess or mess up something, but because we are packing things are out of place and just a mess here at the house. We've had dinner in the living room in from of the tv-against our rules, and Mr. C is getting into everything!!!
Last night he got a hold of a permanet maker...black at that! And I promise he was not quiet for 5 minutes before I went to see what he was into. He had written on most of the boxes in the house, he had written down the hall walls, the office door, HIMSELF, a dvd cover, the top of the tv (it was on the floor), the carpet and my dish towel! So I freak out and call Michael to blame him for leaving the marker where C could reach it-to learn, I  was the last to use it! Oops! So I look up on line how to get it off of walls, doors, people, etc...IT WORKED. Nail polish remover! So I have a few pictures to share with you. My Mom said, My cousin and I used a red and black crayon on her walls! Not so easy to get off, so I'm told! The joys of being a Mommy!! You just have to laugh! Ignore the crazy little face..he had been crying, and I made it pose for his mugshot!

Four Months Late... Who's Counting?

I love throwing Caden's birthday party! I love to let him pick a theme and then we run with it. He is very creative and helps me with a lot of the planning. Yes, He's was 4, but it's his party. No, I didn't take all his ideas. Maybe just one. But we had fun. This year we did a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party! YES TMNT ! Just where did he learn about them? He found a stash of his Daddy's old VHS movies. We have a DVD/VHS combo so we get to watch a lot of the classics. He had only watched a few, but he fell in love with them. Home Study. Step 1

We had our first step of our home study at the end of May.  Home study, like I have said before is 'home study' is an adoption term. I am learning them as I go. Some I still don't get. Home study, I only know step 1. I will learn as we go. Part 2 is our individual meeting.  We went and met with our, I guess she's called a case worker, on Thursday afternoon before we headed to the beach for Memorial Day weekend.  We met at a local restaurant, on the patio. It was so relaxed. I was a little nervous. Telling someone you had never met your dreams and about your 'history'. She stated that by the end she will know way more about us than we want her to know. We just talked a little bit about what we had in mind, and she went through a page and a half of 'to-do's'.  We have to get lots of documents, certificates, questionnaires, letters, physicals, fingerprints, verification's, photos of us and our home, etc.  We have no deadlines so that makes things...

Let's Recap 2010

This will kind of give you an idea of how I think. When I reflect on 2010, of course all the really big, or most recent things come to mind- L got married, Christmas was wonderful, we had a blast at the beach, we moved, and so on. But to really sit down and look over 2010 I just run down month by month and look at all my pictures. I wish I had a way to count all the pictures I took-it would take days!! So here is a fun recap of THEPRICEPRESS 2010 January 7th was the first snow! February 12th it snowed again! March it snowed some more!! In March we went with some friends (with $1 seats) to Atlanta Motor Speedway and got to see one of the biggest accidents of the season right in front of us...Redneck I know! March 20th M's brother got married!! April we got to celebrate Jesus's Resurrection. And my 27th birthday.
