Mommy=Instant Bragging Rights!

Yeah, Yeah I know lovey dovey. But as C has gotten older I do not get to rock him to sleep as much. Every once in a while he will let me. Tonight was one of those nights. As I was rocking him I was thinking how much I love him, I can't come up with it! I could kiss his face one thousand times, and still want to do it more. I love that little booger! Growing up, at church I seemed to always have a baby on my hip. I loved babies. Well, I still do. But once you become a Mom it's so different, and you don't understand that until you are a Mom. And you can't explain it to anyone who isn't. I remember when I found out I was pregnant with C, I couldn't wait to know if he was a boy or a girl. I couldn't wait to see what he/she was going to look like. I couldn't wait to touch and hold him/her. Then when he was born, I couldn't wait to hear his voice say my name. Now, he says it a million times a day. I just love it! It has gone from 'Ma-ma', to 'M...

Where Does Time Go?

Today C is 20 months old. I can remember looking at the pregnancy test. Has it really been that long? Here are his stats. He has not been to the doctor and got his weight checked since he was 18 months. On our scale he weights about 24lbs. He's in Pampers size 5. He runs everywhere he goes! He has 16 teeth. Two crystal blue eyes, two ears, a nose aka 'honk-honk', well you get the point. He's growing up so fast!! He's not my little baby anymore. Although, last night he let me hold him like a baby and 'bottle feed' him his milk. (he was not feeling well) So I savored those few minutes. C has began talking quite a bit in the past month. While we were at the beach he picked up, thank you, please, and uh-oh. They sound a little more like-" ga oo ", " meeze ", and "oh-oh", but he knows when to use them. He was so cute the other day, Mark handed him something and with out prompting he said, " ga - oo , Bak "...He made me so ...

Read Much?

I am not a big reader. I remember growing up, and even still today, my Mom is such a big reader. She will pick up a book and not put it down until she's finished reading it. Yes, that means, she doesn't know what's going on around her. She gets so involved reading. I never ever liked reading. I will pick up little 'one-a-day devotional' and read it for about a week, then forget about it. I have never enjoyed reading. When we were leaving for the beach, for some reason, I wanted a book to read. So I have had this book for a while, but haven't made time to read it. 'Cracking the Communication CODE', by Emerson Eggerichs. It's book 2 of 'Love and Respect'. I didn't realize that when I got it. But you don't have to read Love and Respect to read the other. To help you understand why I picked up this book let me give you a little insight to what has gone on for me in the past three years. M lost his job. He moved away for a year and a half....

WHY?

Why? That is a question I remember Mark used to ask all the time. Why? Why? Why? We always want to know the answer. This past Monday we went to a funeral of a friend of our family, Andrew Stephens. We went to church with the family back 100 years ago. Cara, his sister, apparently babysat me. Then when we moved back to Georgia, Mrs. Nancy, his Mom, was Mark's teacher, and Mom worked with her at PGES. Also, Lindsey and I rode the school bus with Andrew. Then come to find out, he live in Michael's neighborhood. Andrew was 25 years old and was killed in a car accident last week. Why? We ask that question when things don't go our way. Why did Andrew die at such a young age? He was a father to a young boy, a son, a brother, a friend, all the above. Why was his life taken so prematurely? This summer, I lost my part time job. Why? I worked very part time. I was a fill in for when someone was sick, or out of town, or just when they needed me. There was a miscommunication and they le...

233 Pictures Later

Well, for those of you who are true 'ThePricePress' followers, you've probably wondered if we'd fallen off the face of the earth. I'm here to clear that up. We have been at the beach for two weeks. We originally didn't plan for it to work out this way but it did. M, C and I planned a beach trip this summer. This is the first week vacation M and I have taken together since our honeymoon, because of work and moving and just life in general. C eating chocolate chip cookies at the wedding We left Saturday and headed down to Newborn, for a wedding. Spent Saturday night with his family, and headed out Sunday for the beach. Our destination was Pompano Beach, which is just north of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Roughly 10 and a half hours from McDonough, GA. We spent the night a couple hours north of there on Sunday night, in Ft. Pierce, to help break the trip up. Monday morning we headed further South to Pompano. All I had to do was lay him down, he was so sleepy. We checked i...

Many More to Come

One more for today and I'll give it a break. Today marks a big day for me and Michael. No, it's not our wedding anniversary. But it is an anniversary for us. Today, twelve years ago, Michael asked me to go out with him. Yes, go out with him. We were in ninth grade. I was very shy. He was not. Well, except when it came down time to talk to a girl he had a crush on. I remember it was a Sunday night at church he wrote me a note and gave it to me. Like all high school girls, I ran straight to the girls bathroom, Ha! There I read the note...which I still have some where. It said something along the lines of "Do you like me?" Check "yes" or "no". Not really. But it was very short and to the point. "Do you like me?", "I like you." So I pretended I hadn't read it and just said bye like normal. I remember going home that night and Sandy Seidling was there at our house, and I told her, or maybe Lindsey's big mouth told everyone? S...
